Gifting port has a reputation for being Grandad's choice. Ours isn't. Every bottle here started life as Central Otago fruit, and every label tells a story, so there's one that suits the hunter, the fly-fisher, the summer spritz lover and the person who already has everything.

Which port goes with Christmas pudding?
Tawny, every time. Ours is a collector's blend of every vintage since 2012: raisin, stewed cherry and nut, served at room temperature. Pour it with the pud, a wedge of blue cheese or anything chocolate. If you're the host, it's the bottle that makes the meal.

Port gifting, answered
Which port should I buy if I don't know their taste?
The 375ml Trio Gift Box or the Ruby & White Bundle. Both let them taste across styles and find their favourite.
What's the difference between Ruby, White, Rosé and Tawny port?
Ruby is rich and fruity (plum, cherry). White is lighter and best chilled. Rosé is bright red berries, made for summer. Tawny is aged longer for raisin and nut notes, and is perfect with dessert and cheese.
How long does port last once it's opened?
Longer than table wine. Recork it and keep it cool: Ruby, White and Rosé are best enjoyed within a few weeks, Tawny for longer.
Can I visit the winery?
Yes, by appointment in Bannockburn. Get in touch to arrange a time.
